The Decline of Bees

Albert PIC BEST

Bee-decline is a global problem.

There are over 25,000 different types of bee species across nine families. The Apidae family contains the most well known bees such as the honeybee, carpenter bee, and the bumblebee.

Since the late 1990s there has been a sudden disappearance of bees. The consequence of a dying bee population impacts man at the highest levels on our food chain, posing a serious threat to human survival. No other single species plays a more significant role in producing the fruits and vegetables that humans commonly take for granted, yet require near daily to stay alive.
