There are many things that people can do to help save the bees and ultimately the environment.
Some short term to medium term actions that can help are:
- avoiding harm to pollinators by eliminating exposure to potentially harmful substances
- promoting pollinator health through changing practices within existing ecosystems.
Practices that increase plant diversity can improve the flower resources available to pollinators. Recent expansion of organic agriculture, along with the growth of techniques that reduce and/or eliminate chemical pesticides demonstrates that farming without pesticides is feasible, economically profitable and environmentally safe.
You can also help the bees by signing a petition to ban bee-killing pesticides and chemical-intensive industrial agriculture, and also promoting ecological farming. The more people that sign the better, so please do your part and sign the petition at
